Matt's InterRail Tour of Europe 2009

I'm off round Europe for 3 week interrailing with two friends, Will & Scott.....here's our progress....

After many hours of planning the itinerary looks like this, some overnights on train and some camping. With a 22day Interrail pass we decided to get the cheapest Jet2 flights in and out of mainland Europe and aimed for 15 destinations in 19 days.

Sunday 19th July	Departed Leeds/Bradford on a Jet 2 flight to Dusseldorf 18:00-20:30. Left late at 18:07 but arrived in Dusseldorf at 20:15 Txt 21:40: Hello. Arrived fine. Just got into the hotel. Pretty cool, didn't pay €10. There was some free food too. Matt.

Tuesday 21st July	Copenhagen - Weather:25 degC - Overcast - Dry Txt 07:30: Sorry for lack of communication last night, the message never left my outbox! thanks for the cricket and weather update. Dusseldorf wasn't great, not much to see or do and we spent ages trying to find meths. We're fine. On the train currently, due into Copenhagen at 10. Hope you are all well. Wednesday 22nd July	Berlin - Weather:23 degC - Overcast - Dry Prague - Weather:29 degC - Overcast - Damp Txt 20:30: Thanks very much for the updates, much appreciated! Berlin was ok, got all the sights seen and had a currywurst. The campsite in Prague is excellent and cheap. Matt

Friday 24th July	Prague - Weather:31 degC - Overcast - Dry Txt 13:00: Hello, just relaxing in Prague today as we saw all the sights yesterday. Things are good. The messages are taking ages to send, gave up last night-they kept bouncing. Matt. PS The weather has been hot ~30c yesterday, followed by a storm. Hope you're well.. Matt
Saturday 25th July	Krakow - Weather:29 degC - Dry Txt 19:00: We took the wrong train this morning and ended up in Warclaw, have a look on the map. We got to Krakow at 5. Got all the stuff done. Matt
Sunday 26th July	Budapest - Weather:25 degC - Dry Txt 18:00: We mistook the word for arrivals and departures. Budapest is great, love it. Thanks for the updates, how did Vettel do? and where is the hungaroring? Matt
Monday 27th July	Budapest - Weather:29 degC - Dry Vienna - Weather:27 degC - Cloudy
Tuesday 28th July	Vienna - Weather:24 degC - Damp Txt 11:00: Vienna is very hot. In Budapest we changed an F1 Tyre, pretty cool - they had a stand. Did a little sightseeing yesterday, going to do finish it today. Long train journey tonight. Public transport is incredibly good. Thanks for the news, how are things at home? Matt.
Wednesday 29th July	Rome - Weather:33 degC - Dry Txt 19:00: Rome was so so so hot today. I think it may be the law in Rome for the train not to leave the station unless it is overcrowded. It's good though. Matt. Txt 19:00: Last night we had a bangledesh family with baby. Bad. We saw the Vatican too btw. Matt.

Friday 31st July	Pisa - Weather:33 degC - Hot Txt 10:00: Hopefully the forecast will turn around for Interlaken. Just waiting for the train to Milan. We got up early this morning for pictures. Matt. Milan - Weather:33 degC - Thunder MSN 20:00: In Hostel, very quite. Change of plan in Belgium...Ghent instead of Ypres. Probably paragliding tomorrow in Interlaken. Matt.
